How To Handle Tempered Glass Spontaneous Breakage

Immediate Safety Measures
Immediately evacuate people from the area-keeping children and the elderly well away from the breakage site-and set up temporary safety barriers.
If the glass has not fully detached and remains attached to the frame, apply adhesive tape in a crisscross pattern across the glass surface immediately to prevent shards from suddenly falling.
In the event of spontaneous breakage of high-rise floor-to-ceiling windows, immediately cordon off the area below to warn passersby and prevent injuries caused by falling debris.

Preserving Evidence at the Scene
Do not clean up the shards or disturb the scene; take comprehensive photographs from multiple angles, focusing on the "butterfly pattern" characteristic at the point of origin and the overall state of the shattered glass.
Retain original documentation-such as purchase invoices, installation contracts, and product warranty cards-to verify whether the glass is still under warranty.
If liability needs to be pursued later, contact a professional testing agency to analyze the glass fragments and determine if manufacturing defects, such as nickel sulfide impurities, are present.
