Daily Cleaning Guidelines
Tool Selection:Use a soft, clean cloth, microfiber towel, or old newspaper for wiping. Do not use hard tools like steel wool or coarse brushes, as these can scratch the glass or damage the interlayer.
Handling Common Stains: Wipe ordinary dust directly with a damp towel. For stubborn grease, spray with a neutral glass cleaner, cover with plastic wrap for 10 minutes to let it soak, and then wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Handling Special Stains: Remove pen marks by rubbing with a wet eraser, then wiping clean. Remove paint by wiping with cotton dipped in hot vinegar or alcohol. In winter, remove frost by wiping with a cloth dipped in concentrated salt water or clear spirits (baijiu).
Prohibited Products: Strictly avoid using strong acid or alkaline solutions, such as toilet bowl cleaners or highly alkaline detergents. These substances can corrode the PVB interlayer, causing bubbles or cloudy white spots to form within the glass.
Environmental Management
Temperature Protection: Avoid subjecting the glass to rapid temperature changes exceeding 70°C. Do not place a kettle of boiling water directly onto cold glass, as extreme temperature differences can cause cloudy white spots to form in the interlayer.
Load-Bearing Limits:Thin laminated glass has limited load-bearing capacity. Place heavy objects steadily on the base of the furniture to avoid excessive pressure on a single point, which could cause cracks in the laminated glass.
High-Temperature Protection:For glass in sunrooms exposed to direct summer sunlight, install shading curtains if the local temperature exceeds 65°C to prevent the PVB interlayer from melting or delaminating due to heat.
Handling Humid Environments:After cleaning laminated glass in bathrooms, immediately wipe away water droplets with a dry cloth to prevent the edge sealant from becoming moldy due to prolonged exposure to moisture.
