Precision Tapered Glass for Distinctive Roof Details

Conical Curved Tempered Glass features a tapered shape that narrows from the wider base toward the top. This design is suitable for spires, roof caps, skylights, canopies, and other distinctive architectural features. Producing this type of glass requires precise control of temperature, bending speed, and forming conditions. Our technical team uses specialized fixtures and process settings to control the tapered shape throughout production. Our Conical Curved Tempered Glass provides the strength and safety characteristics of tempered glass. Its surface compressive stress can meet the requirements of different markets, including ≥80 MPa under Chinese requirements and ≥69 MPa for the USA and Australia. When the glass breaks, it forms small, relatively blunt particles, which helps reduce the risk of serious cuts. It can withstand a temperature difference of up to 200°C without cracking or breaking. We can produce this glass as laminated glass with PVB or SGP interlayers. We can also combine it with Low-E coatings or insulating glass configurations for improved energy performance.

Custom Engineering for Each Tapered Design

Every conical glass design has its own dimensions, angles, and transition areas. Our engineering team reviews your drawings and develops suitable bending programs for each project. We pay close attention to the taper angle, curved profile, dimensions, and transition zones. This helps ensure that the finished glass matches the approved design and installation requirements. Our Conical Curved Tempered Glass has been used for museum entrance canopies, cultural center roof features, and other special architectural applications. The smooth tapered profile creates a clean and distinctive appearance. Our quality checks include dimensional measurements at multiple points along the curved profile. These checks help us identify deviations during production. For export orders, we use protective foam inserts and wooden crates to reduce the risk of damage during long-distance transportation.
