Core Structural Components
Glass Configuration:Composed of two or more panes of flat glass; base glass types-such as float, tempered, Low-E, or heat-absorbing glass-can be selected based on requirements, with typical single-pane thicknesses ranging from 3 mm to 12 mm.
Sealed Gas Layer: A hermetically sealed space of 6–20 mm is formed between the glass panes; while typically filled with dry air, high-performance products may be filled with inert gases such as argon or krypton.
Support and Sealing Systems
Spacer Support Structure:An aluminum frame (or "warm-edge" spacer) serves as the support framework; the interior is filled with desiccant to continuously absorb residual moisture, ensuring the gas layer remains dry over the long term.
Dual-Seal Design:The primary seal utilizes butyl rubber to ensure high airtightness and watertightness, preventing moisture ingress; the secondary seal employs structural adhesives-such as polysulfide-to provide mechanical strength and protect the overall sealing structure.
Derived Structural Features
Customizable Configurations: Supports single-chamber or multi-chamber structures with flexible combinations of two or three glass panes to meet specific sound insulation and thermal insulation requirements.
Functional Coating Options: Low-emissivity (Low-E) or solar-control coatings can be applied to the inner glass surfaces to further reduce radiant heat transfer and enhance thermal insulation and energy-saving performance.
