Pre-production Preparation
Base Glass Selection:Selects a consistent batch of float glass with uniform thickness as the substrate.
Frit Preparation: Mixes frit colors according to order specifications, controlling parameters such as viscosity and flowability; prepares an additional 5%–10% beyond the theoretical requirement to account for production loss.
Environmental Control: Maintains a dust- and fiber-free production environment, with temperature controlled at (25±2)°C and relative humidity between 60% and 70%.
Core Printing Process
This is the critical stage for frit application; the mainstream processes fall into four categories:
Screen Printing: Uses a screen printing plate to transfer the pattern; offers low frit consumption and high pattern precision, making it suitable for mass production of standard-sized products.
Roller Printing: Applies frit via rubber rollers; enables large-area continuous operation and high production efficiency, though color variety is limited.
Spray Printing: Uses a spray gun to apply frit slurry; suitable for the rapid production of single-color frit glass, though frit costs are relatively high.
Digital Printing: Outputs patterns directly via printing equipment; eliminates the need for plate making and supports complex, high-definition patterns, though initial equipment investment is high.
Production methods can also be categorized into mechanical printing (suitable for high-volume, high-precision applications like architectural curtain walls) and manual printing (suitable for irregular surfaces and small-batch, customized orders).
